Health Care:
For several months (including the June CPG) the strategic team members of the Health Care team have felt led to encourage the churches in the city pray: ‘for healthcare managers and workers, that God would empower them to serve clients with excellence and treat one another well.’ Specifically we prayed: ‘As planned layoffs hit the Ottawa Hospital, may Your Spirit move among managers and decision-makers. Lead them in wise, faith-based leadership, marked by prudence and courage.’ On the 21st of September CTV news reported that the Ottawa Hospital will be limiting the projected job cuts (~400) to 17!! One of the sector team members reported that it’s “truly amazing work that has been done to save positions and give employees work”.

Depuis plusieurs mois (y compris lors de la réunion du GPC de juin), les membres de l’équipe stratégique du secteur de la santé se sont sentis poussés à prier “Alors que des mises à pied touchent L’Hôpital d’Ottawa, dirige les décideurs avec sagesse, prudence et courage.” Le 21 septembre, CTV News a annoncé que l’Hôpital d’Ottawa limiterait à 17 les suppressions de postes initialement prévues (environ 400) !! L’un des membres de l’équipe sectorielle a souligné le « travail vraiment remarquable accompli pour sauver des emplois et permettre aux employés de continuer à travailler ».
